Hello all Im pretty new to the Pc per forums, and mostly lurked around however I've come upon a dilema and could really use some advice. Intel is offering a core i7 3770k for cheap (85.00) im coming from a Phenom II 970 and would like to know if its worth at this point in the anual cycle to buy this particular part for the price, granted i will need to replace the board, but all in all spending what the part is normally retailing at which sounds excellent, however Im also aware that Haswell is supposed to be released pretty soon and the bump in graphics and Power savings, has me on the fence as to whether I should wait or jump on this, so to make it short should I buy or wait? thanks for all the help in advanced

Running XP pro w/sp3, after a changed my router one of my three active partitions (3 HDD's) the one I use all the time is slow to shutdown.
I changed out a old Verizon DSL route for a Linksys wireless router (using the wired connection) and by doing so the system is slow to shutdown. I remember reading something about network conflicts connected to the O/S, but don't remember the terms which makes searching impossible.

I use static IP addresses for my three PC's and two TiVo DVR's which are on the network. No firewalls. This happened right after I swapped routers.

I manually set everything in bios, turned off all power options, cool and quiet and everything. Windows has 100% CPU power management. Any ideas? I think cause of this I cant reach 5ghz stable due to the drops.

FS: 2x Galaxy GTX 660 Ti 3GB
I'm the original purchaser of one. 2nd owner of the other. Both include original purchase receipts.
I've only had them both for about 6 months.
Never overclocked. Ran them in SLI so had no need to OC.
Played BF3 primarily at 4x AA, 16x AF, Ultra settings, 100+ FPS
Have original boxes and accessories for both cards.
Both cards work 100% fine.
Selling because I decided to go with a Radeon 7970 instead. Even though its about 10% slower than the 660Ti in SLI in BF3.
These cards in SLI are generally faster than a 7970 in many games.
Non smoking adult owner. The cards were well cared for. Dusted monthly with canned air and dusted thoroughly when removed from PC.

I paid next to nothing for a EVGA GTX 460 FTW edition on ebay and it works fine until I install the driver, artifacts and nvlddmkm.sys BSOD. Once I got it to work by using specific voltages on a bios flash and gamed it up like none other and it was running beautifully and running super cool only 50C under load.

I repasted and cleaned the whole gpu before testing.

So, I was looking on the card to find damage and I found out what is causing the issue! It's a small CHIP on the backside of the GPU by the number C176. How can I find a replacement and how would I want to go about soldering it back on?

My GTX260 and GTX280 always are switching constantly between power states while on the desktop and it's really weird why they would do this. Since power consumption is high while on the desktop in 2d. It's kind of weird why it would jump between 2d, to 3d, to extra even on the Desktop and while browsing the web.

I decreased the 2d to 150Mhz and 0.920V and the 3d to 150mhz and 0.930V to decrease power consumption and it really does work. I use 7.26A in 2d clock and 8.71A in 3d clocks on the desktop but when it hits the Extra Clock it goes to like 25A at idle in the Extra being at 756Mhz. This is on the GTX260, the GTX280 power draw is about 5-10% roughly higher in every power state at the same clocks.

I wonder what is causing it? It's windows 7 x64 with AERO glass and all the special good looking stuff on. There's no need for it to boost since 150Mhz at 0.920V is very solid fast performance with zero noticeable performance impact while in 2d mode.

It tends to spend most time at 2d 7.26A but tends to hit the 3d clock state randomly.

Is it in the driver? I'm running the 320.00 Beta x64 drivers.

Can I add the profiles for PowerMizer or whatever to the registry to force 2d on desktop?

ANYWAY THANKS I HOPE YOU CAN HELP!
