Northern side of Colorado Springs is burning.

A little less than a year later from the Waldo Canyon fire that crept into the western part of town and destroyed a bunch of homes and we have another huge fire. Today they confirmed that 360 homes have been lost making this fire the most destructive in state history.:( These btw are not small homes either, the area the fire is burning at is known as the Black Forest in the northern part of town. There are million dollar homes located there. I know someone that lives in the area who is on mandatory evacuation and won't know for days if he has a home to go back to.

Are there laws against these mechanical horrors in real life? I still do not want someone to create such things. I think there should be laws against Terminators if you ask me. Someone in government or someone out there should know, don't be replaced by them in the food chain.

I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I love gala apples. There is just something about them that is just so mmm, mmm, good.

Oh, btw, a Macintosh is not an apple, so you can't use that one. iPod or iPhones either. LOL. :D

Interview question about priority for all the IT Support people...

Hey fellow IT supporters,

I understand this is a very popular question in interviews and I wanted to hear your opinion on what the best answer would be. If you were asked to prioritize the following requests and to provide justification, what would be the best way to respond?

President of company says his Blackberry can't receive emails. Several people report they can't print to network printer. Last night's file server backup failed. HR manager can't log on to network.

3. Backup
2. HR Manager
1. President???

I think the most important thing is to ask questions to determine the type of impact each problem has on the business and whether it's business critical or not... printers should be lowest priority because they are almost always quick fixes and people should always have more than one printer set up anyways. Company data retention is very important to a business but the backup job can always be rerun at a later time. What comes next is hard for me to decide...what if the HR manager was late and had a very important web meeting to attend to vs. the President needing to step out for 45 minutes and needed his BB email fixed asap? Both colleagues are executive-level, both have high priority issues...for my own ass, I have to help the most important person which would be the Prez no???

Just had a phone call from an "old friend" Heather at Account Services ... calling about my "current credit card". LMAO! Of course I immediately hung up. How stupid do these people think we are? How many of you have heard from "Heather"? It's been over a year for me. :rofl:
