    This is wide open, add a *.* line to syslog and log it to /var/log/all.log or something. it'll be verbose, but you'll know everything the system was doing up until the point of reboot.

    What do people use for monitoring the hardware? lm_sensors? khealthcare? gkrellm?

    Just wondering. I'm looking for a console based tool really.

    FWIW, I've had zero problems with suse 8...

    FWIW, I've had zero problems with suse 8 installed via dvd. It's been working fine for me for months now. I know it doesn't help solve the problem, but just my $.02 to say that it does work.
