Ok, I did some reading, and now I understand alot more about how the power regulation is handled and what goes into the design. Now I see where you are coming from a little better, too. Of all the...

Ok, this is confusing me a bit. You have to understand that I did horrible in physics II, I'm kinda self taught. So bear with me as I learn ;) :D
So each mosfet is cycling one to the next,...
Another crapola. Well I can make do I guess. I'm all about "you get what you pay for" but that's going to have to wait until the wife gets outs of school (just 1 year left, yay). Thanks for the...
Crapola, that blows chunks. Do you know offhand of any good DMMs at a decent price? If I'm going to be torturing this board, I think I need something more accurate. Gotta get my tools in order...
Thanks, now we're talkin' :D
I've got the BK tool kit DMM 0.5% Model # 2703B. It seems to be pretty solid, but I didn't realize until now that it has a +-0.5% accuracy. It seems to do pretty...
I understand that it's within spec and I'm not questioning that, what I'm asking is how do I deliver something better than "spec". When you're going for massive overclocks that are far out of spec,...

I haven't done the vmem mod yet ;)
Yeah it's an X850XT PE, but this gives you an idea of what a little volt modding fun...
I'm looking to solidify the vcore so it's not so bouncy under load. The things I am considering are adding an extra inductor or two, adding extra capacitors inline with the stock ones, cooling the...
If it's broke already, just tear the sucker off :D
If it is a 128MB card, it won't have temp monitoring. It may or may not have the ability to read temps, but it won't be supported (at this time anyways). Right now only 256Mb cards have temp...
Hell they already make it "unofficially", might as well have one announced :p ;)
Have you done anything to the card, like flash an Xt bios?
Redneck, that is sweet! If I were to build an external case, that's how I would like it. Looks great :)
I bought my......

Yes I do. Watercooling your northbridge isn't THAT great compared to decent aircooling.
Bleh, I do it for two hours. If it passed two hours, I'm happy with that. Nothing critical is on my gaming rig, so if it errors once a day, I don't really care.
It was just the impellor magnet getting balanced in the electromagentic field of the housing. Doesn't happen often, but a good slap will usually kick it in. It's best to leave your computer on 24/7...
Here's my gaming rig:

24 hours is the general testing period. If you feel absolutely confident (and a bit foolish ;)), then testing is not necessary.
I do it for fun. My watercooled webserver, a pentiumII 350MHz certainly doesn't need it, but it was fun to do. It's silent too, where it wasn't before. My gaming rig, well I do it for the...
If it aint broke, don't fix it. 35C is fine, so unless your heatsink/fan is loud, I'd say leave it alone.
Hubris you caught me on that one, I didn't think about an airtight system (his is laying on it's side, hence airtight...DOH). Good call. Apparently my brain is not in physics mode today :p:bang:
Well if you're overclocking, that's a great temp! Bet it's loud though ;)
With my 2100+ at 2450MHz 1.90v on water, I get a load temp of ~43C on a warm day. Idle is from 33-35C. If I had a mild...
The higher the pump is, the less it has to fight gravity, and therefore better flow results. My pump is in the top of my 5.25 bays for this reason. It's not required, but it certainly doesn't hurt....
Yeah you're good to go man. I actually put one together one time with no tests, but I felt confident because I've done alot of aquarium work and was familiar with my equipment.
