    Re: FX-55 or 4800+?

And you beleive everything everyone tells u? guys, do the comparison yourselves. This isn't rocket science and running benches don't mean jack, nor does amd's pr/marketing team telling u which cpu is...

Re: is extra L2 cache worth an upgrade?

keep in mind that review says nothing about actual real world gaming performance, benches are nice, but play your games, then decide ;) I can tell u, having both cores, I def notice a difference...
  9. Re: Newbie to the board with a question about his board..

u really shouldn't sell your cpu when all it may take is a simple bios flash to up your performance, sell your old cpu if your board supports the new one. Winflash is easy to use.

    Re: FX-55 or 4800+?

the thinking that the fx-55 is designed for games and the x2 isn't is just flawed. Guys, think about it, it's the SAME cpu, except twice. Why would it run games slower? Why would u pay for 1 core...

Re: how do you cut your tubing?

Here's a real good tip for getting 1/2" tygon over 3/4" barbs, coat the inside of the tubing with antifreeze (ordinary green kind is fine, i used my zerex) coat the barb with antifreeze, push both...

Re: Venice topped out at 3.2Ghz.

  18. Re: Problems with SATA and windows

U prob need to run seagate's disk utility software first before u can even install windows. I didn't have a problem myself with SATA drive formatting but I have a WD raptor as the boot drive.
  19. Re: problems with 3xWD SATA drives, not showing up in "my computer"quickreplyappriciated!

I see, so it actually IS the same size. So which # is really the correct #? the decimal or binary? it is actually 250 gigs of space right?
  20. Re: problems with 3xWD SATA drives, not showing up in "my computer"quickreplyappriciated!

wow that is lame, I like the hitachi drives better, they must have a bit more gigs because once they are formatted, u actually get more. IE, I bought a 120 gig hitachi and actually got about 115gigs...
  21. Re: problems with 3xWD SATA drives, not showing up in "my computer"quickreplyappriciated!

ok, I ran the WD disk utility in DOS, works fine, I only ended up with 232 gigs of space though, does the formated disk really need 30 gigs just to be able to use that space? I can see 5 gigs, but...
  22. Re: problems with 3xWD SATA drives, not showing up in "my computer"quickreplyappriciated!

hrm, ok, that's done now, how do I get xp to recognize all the space now? 3x250 gig drives, only recognizing 128gigs, I don't have a disk utility disc from WD, these are bare drives, I tried dl'ing...

Re: Removing 3500+ IHS.. bad idea?
