Re: Modifying an DFI Ultra to SLI

    Sure works great.

    Re: K8n Neo2

I've been though all the 939 boards now, and the Neo2 Plat is the best. All the boards have quirks and are somewhat finicky. None stick out as the for sure champ. But the NEO2 Plat is pretty good...

Re: Bush prepared to invade Iraq 1 year ahead

C'mon folks. The US has been planning a better foothold in the middle east since the early 1970s. As things just became worse there in the last 25 years, it was an easy decision when the opportunity...
  5. Re: K8N Neo2 (SATA RAID 0) hangs with "Detecting array"

Make sure the Boot Order Priority is set to RAID array. Sometimes to BIOS gets borked and you see 2 drives (seperately) in the Boot Order setting. If this happens you need to clear the cmos. Then...
  6. Re: K8N NEO Platinum owners, other NF3 experts NEED HELP w/ ?

Make sure you are usig DIMMs 1 and 2. The manual is confusing and leads you to beleive you are to populate both green dimm slots. That is wrong. Populate one green and one purple (side by side)...

Re: MSI K8N Neo Platinum memory problems

    The manual is worded poorly.

Use DIMMs 1 and 2. That's the green and purple DIMMs nearest the CPU.

These are very good reasons for starters.

    To be even more specific:

No truly full featured motherboards even exist.
NF3 is indeed buggy, lacks SATA natively, and has weak HT link.

The KD7-E has 5 bit FID which means you'll have access to all multipliers 5.5 to 22.

AMD certainly cannot wait to 3rd or 4th Qtr next year to get the 09 process into production. Forget scalability....that isn't even the issue. Gross margin is the issue. AMD's current yield of CPUs...

    I'd wait it out.

Now, an overclocked Intel 2.8 on a cheap 865 board with PAT enabled would easily smoke a comparable AMD system overclocked at 3200+ (2.2ghz). That's not a question. A 2.8 with...
