  1. Re: Fan on NF7 stopped spinning? What to do?

Are you referring to the fan on the northbridge? If so, just replace it with a passive cooling solution. I think many people use this one...

  3. Re: Memory Timings: "By SPD" Doesn't Match Corsair's Recommendations

I see the same thing with my Mushkin PC3500 level 1.

Using cpu-z, the SPD is reported as 2-4-4-7, while on the Mushkin website it is reported as 2-3-3-?.

I just run manually at 2-3-3-11, no...

    Re: LAN controller problems

How about I just continue using my PCI NIC?

That seems to be a much easier solution :)

I went through the whole turning off routine with it already, but I will do the /release /renew next.

    Re: LAN controller problems

There is a MAC address that comes up on boot, and it matches what Windows reports.

Should I flash again and specify this MAC? Just to make sure it takes?

    Re: LAN controller problems

I was just saying that so we could forego going through the more common, obvious problems.

    LAN controller problems

    Hi All,

Just finished setting my NF7 based comp back up after a bad flash (had to do the hot-swap thing), and now my on-board ethernet controller seems to have gone bad.

    Any idea if the bios...

Those 3500 should do 217 at the rated timings (at 2.7V, 2-3-3-?). By their very design, they are meant to. I have the same RAM and it is stable at 220 (2.9V, 2-3-3-11). I can even memtest at 225...

I have tested them (2x512MB) at 2.9V in bios (2.98 in MBM5), and I don't think that I should have to do a volt mod just to get RAM to run at its rated speed at its rated voltage (or over)....

Even after my L12 mod I can only run prime stable at 11.5x218. Granted that gives me the 2.5 GHz I was hoping to get, but I wasted far too much time trying for 220 and 225 FSB to be prime stable...
