    Re: Recent Purchases

Got a Seiki 39" 4K TV, sadly Amazon wouldn't price match Tigerdirects price and I didn't feel like hassling with the whole mail in rebate crap. Also picked up a second R9 280X from Tigerdirect which...

    Re: Official Steam sale thread

I'm quite fond of PAYDAY 2 if you can play it with friends. Trying to stealth some of the missions is hilarious fun when you ultimately screw up and must face the wrath of the terminator police.

    Re: In memory of Kernal_Tom

Sad to hear this. He really was a great guy and had a great attitude when it came to playing games. He always had fun which is what games are about. He will be missed.

    Re: Battlefield Hardline

It feels like someone put a cops and robbers "mask" over BF4 and knocked the objectives down to 1 basically. It's basically domination with 1 flag and 2 static bases.

    I would say it's worth $20...

    Re: Battlefield 4

Cool concept in it's own right, kind of like Payday, but yeah it should be it's own game. Calling it Battlefield makes no sense. Maybe they're just running out of idea's that aren't the whole SF...

    Re: Battlefield 4

I have yet to download it, but from what I have heard it alleviates a lot of the issue's of people killing each other and the hitreg lagging behind shots and also makes longer range shots much more...

    Re: Battlefield 4

Since they upped it to 30 tick in the CTE, I wonder what the excuse is for having it at 10 tick all this time? Also was it 10 tick in BF3 cause It didn't feel as laggy on hit detection and the whole...

    Re: Battlefield 4

AFAIK it was 10 updates per second in BF3 as well and may have been in BF:BC2. I mean it SHOULD be fixed because it creates a terrible gameplay environment when you constantly miss shots because the...

    Re: Battlefield 4

I've heard it's about a 10 tick rate and that's pretty damned low though, even if it's by design decision. It's the equivalent of the game running at 10 fps more or less in terms of simulation which...

    Re: Battlefield 4

Well it is client side hit detection so makes sense. One thing I never understood with client side hit detection is that someone with lower FPS would always have a different "perspective" in the game...

    Re: Battlefield 4

I agree that I we don't need to hear a play by play lol, but you made it sound like suck it up and shut up which is a bad attitude to take considering it really isn't the "right" thing happening.

Yeah I mean after all, missing your target completely at point blank range is part of the charm of Battlefield 4 amirite?

Re: Will you ever stop playing games?

I don't think I will ever stop gaming as it's a main hobby for me. Truth be told it's an easy albeit moderately expensive hobby to have, but then what hobby isn't.
  17. Re: what was You favorite old school AMD motherboard ?

Not sure if it qualifies as old school but I really liked my Chaintech VNF3-250 that I had. I managed to get an Athlon 64 2800+ up to 2.7ghz on that thing with water cooling and it ran stable as hell.

They're probably doing something with DX 11.1 which is why they recommended Win 8 64.

    Re: Battlefield 4 Video

BF3 was honestly bad overall IMO. They sped up the pace of combat in it and made the maps smaller and objectives closer, made the guns feel like Airsoft toys both in terms of recoil and lethality,...

    Re: [Console] PlayStation Orbis

The funny thing is that with each new post, you just prove all the points I made that much more. I'm far from defending console's, for one I don't even own one and haven't owned one for many years. I...

    Re: [Console] PlayStation Orbis

I still think though that if that is the route they take, it will put more of a focus on PC's for gaming again.

I'm also curious what you're preferred specs for both of these console's would be....

    Re: [Console] PlayStation Orbis

I take it with a grain of salt. They were always becoming "Entertainment Center's" over time anyways. What constitutes a dedicated gaming machine though? Is a PC a dedicated gaming machine then?...
