    M3A and new Phenom X3 or X4???

    Hi Gang,

I am looking at buying an Asus M3A board with either a X3 or X4. I am not sure which BIOS will come with the board. Other than the CPU being unknown or recognized incorrectly, will there...

    Re: P5K-VM - Quad Core

I had an interesting issue with my P5K-VM tonight. I upgraded from an E6300 to a Q6600. The device manager (in Vista) showed two E6300 cores and two Q6600 cores. Deleting one of the E6300 cores and...

Re: GA-965P-DS3 (rev. 3.3) F11 BIOS memory problem

Gigabyte screwed up the BIOS from F11. Flash back to F10 until F13 comes out with the fix. I flashed to F12 a few days ago and overclocking by increasing the FSB is virtually impossible. Fortunately,...
  4. Re: DVD drive bogs system when disc is inserted....

The same thing happened with my S3 a while back. It takes a lot of trying different settings if you already have the latest BIOS and drivers.

If you don't have the latest BIOS, then flash to the...

Re: Gigabyte 965P-DQ6 rev 3.3 Question

The board will run fine without using the extra 4 pin connector, but using it will be that much better. The reason there is a cover over 4 pins is to show people where it is essential to connect at...

    Re: asus p5b northbridge temps???

I would worry about it too much as 40*C seems to be standard with the P5B series.

Re: win XP pro prod key

When you buy a valid product key from Microsoft they will send you a link to download and install a utility that will allow you to change the key. It should work IF you have a "good" pirated copy. If...

Re: Asus P5N-E SLI Won't Post

Yes, put the CMOS jumper in the clear position, then pull the battery out for about 5 minutes. Put the battery in, then change the jumper, and try again.

Re: Good Asus Intel Core 2 Duo MB

I have used both a P5W DH Dlx and P5B Dlx WiFi. Both are excellent boards, but I like the P5B Dlx more. The P5B overclocks better, recovers from a failed overclock easier, and is much more stable (as...

    Re: Building a ASUS System.

Take a look at the X1900GT model. Not too much in terms of performance loss, but the GT is selling for less than $200 @ Newegg. You might try a crossfire setup with two GTs. Connect3D has a crossfire...

Re: P5N32-SLI SE Deluxe, Wow !

    Why wow?

I have an Asus P5W DH Dlx, which is better than the P5N32-SLI, and I don't find too much of a difference from my A8N32 setup.
  21. Re: Crosshair Overheating? Nvidia Driver Problems?

Looks like you need better airflow in your case to take care of the heat problem. Now, if heat isn't causing your problem, then your OCZ ram is. OCZ and Asus don't play nice together.

    Re: A8N32-SLI or A8N-E?

I have both boards. Both work as expected -- without issue. I replaced the fan on the A8N-E with a Zalman NB Cooler. It works great.

    Re: A8N32-SLI Deluxe BIOS 1302

My system hasn't rebooted itself since flashing from 1205. That's all I need. Also, 1009 was a very stable BIOS for me.

    Re: A8N32-SLI Deluxe BIOS 1302

Surprised it hasn't caught on fire yet. :help:

Anyway, it looks like your room is about 8F warmer than mine, which likely explains, in part, why your CPU is so toasty.

    Re: A8N32-SLI Deluxe BIOS 1302

    My Opteron @ 2.6Ghz with 1.525v runs at 44-45c under load using a Freezer 64 (non-Pro).
