    Re: So I bought an 8800GTS 320MiB..

    Oralpain,

    This is my video card-
    eVGA 320-P2-N811-AR GeForce 8800GTS

Can't you do the same kind of overclocking using nVidia's nTune software or is there a reason to use RivaTuner instead?
    I...
  2. Re: Looking for memory suggestions - P5W DH Deluxe

I'm actually quite happy with my G-Skill PC800 RAM.

It's considered to be VERY overclockable MICRON brand RAM. Read this review by clicking here

It's well within your budget range!

    Re: P5N32-E SLI Memory Questions...

I bought G-Skill RAM- It easily clocked in a 4-4-4-12 with 2.5v and matched the speed to the 1066 FSB.
It's been a while since I have overclocked a system so out of fear, I dropped it back to...
  5. Re: Trying to create the best system I can for around $1000

    As far as memory,

If you are going to use the Asus P5N32-E SLI board, why not go with the G-Skill RAM? It can be hugely overclocked.
  6. Re: the perfect htpc systems that you can overclock well

Are you still using TheaterTek DVD?

Wow...Has it been 3 years (thinking back about my HTPC).

    Re: Capture music from satellite

    First off,

You would be recording the "shows" which would probably be either-
    1. A blank screen or,
    2. The name a titles of the songs being played.

As you record them, your capture card would...

Re: Looking for a 6800 AGP Card?

If you have the time to do so, I'd be curious. Plus it would benefit PCPER since sites are getting a lot of hits looking for AGP cards (just look at how frantic eBay is for 6800 AGP cards)

That's good stuff...I don't know why they stopped making cards like the 6800GT and 6800 Ultra's only to continue making the 6800 GS. Either way, I'm glad to see that people won't have to be stuck...

Re: Looking for a 6800 AGP Card?

This seems like a VERY good alternative- It's overclockable and you can push it to somewhat near Ultra 6800 speeds.
