    This board is known to have issues with lose chipset heatsinks that causes it to overheat.I have mine modded with a couple of bolts,nuts and washers.Simple,cheap fix that worked well.

    Crt monitors,keyboards and mice usually can be had at my local goodwill for next to nothing.I ounce paid $35 for a 21 inch crt that worked great.Maybe a goodwill by you also has a computer center...

    Ubuntu locks you out of root by default which is why you have to use sudo in the terminal for installs and what not.It will ask you for your password also after using sudo for your protection.
