Re: Windows XP boot error message

If I remember correctly, Windows won't install on anything that doesn't have a MBR. You either have to get a MBR on the flash drive or fool Windows into thinking it's there. I've never done this...

    Re: MSI K8T NEO2-F V2.0 Crashing

Just built a new system with that board last night and brought it up. No issues yet using a X2 4200. Hope it stays that way.
What you are describing sounds like the system going into "sleep mode"....

    feandro,
I realize this thread is a couple of months old but I just now saw it while searching for memory for my own 600e.
Have you run a testing program of any kind to verify that the extra memory...

    Re: 7njs, Mobile 2500 & 400fsb

You were dead on:). I had the vcore at 1.45v because raising it hadn't seemed to help in my earlier attempts and I've been using SETI to test for stabillity. I ran Prime95 and it didn't even make it...

    Re: 7njs, Mobile 2500 & 400fsb

Well, I went and checked and I had those settings exactly except for the memory being set at "Auto" which caused it to run 333. I changed it to 100% and lo and behold it booted into Windows and ran...

Got a 2500 Mobile XP from Newegg awhile back and finally got around to installing it and ZIIIP... went right to 11x200 at stock voltage. Had everything else set at most relaxed settings so memory...
  12. Re: Windows 2000 has corrupted itself 13 times in 4 and half weeks, please help me.

Glad to see you've got a handle on it Ravinstorm. I suspected memory was going to be an issue but I expected it to be a compatibility problem rather than actual bad memory. Hope that's the end of...

    Re: Sick of Spyware

Boo Hoo Hoo, it's all Microsoft’s fault. They owe me. They ripped me off. It's Bill Gates fault I bought a sophisticated piece of equipment and didn't bother to learn how to use it so now I have...
  15. Re: Windows 2000 has corrupted itself 13 times in 4 and half weeks, please help me.

You found it! That was a serious error on VIA's part and I think they learned from it. They were slow to admit a problem and it took an outside Engineer to identify and solve it with a patch. I'm not...

That clears things quite a bit:). You're getting a lot of good suggestions here so keep plugging away and you will find the culprit. I know how frustrating it can be when you spend a bundle on new...

You're Welcome Ravinstorm. This kind of dialog helps BOTH of us after all. If I run into a situation like this myself I would like to know as much about a possible solution as I can BEFORE I bust off...
  18. Re: Windows 2000 has corrupted itself 13 times in 4 and half weeks, please help me.

Considering responders keep referring to WinXP (O.S. is Win2K Pro as stated at top of thread), suggesting links to other sites and "Googling", I'm not surprised Ravinstorm has doubts. No real offense...

Notice most of the bids received so far are from users with "0" feedback? Fake identities or accomplices in this scam. Ah well, Fleabay is 99% scam artists anyway as far as I can see.
