    Re: Sound Core3D

    Heyyo,

No it uses the same ca0132 DSP. It just has I think more connections, slightly better signal to noise ratio and slightly higher quality audio output on stereo setups of 192KHz Vs...

    Re: Sound Core3D

    Heyyo,

Hmm, are you using Windows 10 or something else? So far their Windows 10 drivers have been alright. I do get some sound crackling watching YouTube in Steam's overlay browser but that's...

    Re: New Antivirus

    Heyyo,

@ OP, you said you have Avast Antivirus. The free version works great and it's just an annual free renewal on the free version. I'd recommend just doing that.

    I've had issues with...

Re: Recommended sound card for FPS gaming on PC?

    Heyyo,

Don't get a Creative Labs Sound Blaster Recon 3D or Z series sound card unless you never plan on Linux/SteamOS... their non-existent support for it is lame and the 64bit kernel firmware...

Re: AMD cuts another 5% of their workforce.

    Heyyo,

Ouch... I send my condolences to the affected families and I hope they are able to find employment elsewhere soon....

With that said? I do hope this drastic measure pays off... sure I...

    Re: PLZ hep Linux

    Heyyo,

Linux is darn fun yeah but for gaming? Khronos Group really needs to get Vulkan 3D API out the door and it needs to work good much like AMD's Mantle did which sadly never found its way to...

Re: the best R9 390 in Black or white

    Heyyo,

There's not a lot to chose from for AMD GPUs in black and white sadly... XFX R9 390 Black edition springs to mind... but XFX's warranty is only good if you register this black edition in...

Re: geforce gtx titan black, x or z

    Heyyo,

It doesn't need that crazy of a PSU for a single GTX 980 Ti or a AMD Fury X.

Re: What Linux distro do you prefer and why?

    Heyyo,

These days? Ubuntu Mate. I freaking love Mate/Gnome2 so much! It's how I first experienced Linux and enjoyed that interface. I can't say the same for Gnome3 though, I didn't exactly like...

Re: Crossfire, is it worth it?

    Heyyo,

You're easily better off getting an AMD R9 380 or AMD R9 390. They're fantastic cards for their price.

List of R9 380 and 390 series GPUs in Canada:...

Re: geforce gtx titan black, x or z

    Heyyo,

For gaming? Gigabyte's GTX 980 Ti G1 Gaming is the best for non-reference design with the best overclocking abilities. It does take up 2.5 slots though... so don't plan on cramming more...

Re: What Linux distro do you prefer and why?

    Heyyo,

Ubuntu Mate has quickly become my favorite distro. It's so darn clean and purdy! It's also how I remember Linux when I first tinkered with it back in 2004. I loved Gnome 2 and Mate is just...
