Re: nVidia v7 Guide for Folding Beta Project 8057

Yeah I'm thinking about getting a 570. I'd hate to not get a 6xx card and then all of a sudden they reduce the penalty for those cards, let alone optimize it.

    Thanks for the reply.

Ahh. So a couple more days and the bonus will kick in. I am noticing that the p8049 credit jumps around. Up when I'm not using the PC and vise versa. Must be some heck of a...

    Re: I'm Back

I had 2GB DDR2 laying around from a Crucial RMA and installed it in the Q66 so it reads as 3.25GB now. With that I just finished installing the second VMWare Linux install. Last time I tried 2 linux...

    Re: Folding Frogs Whoohoo Thread

    Grats!

Oh man...those 1-2 point WU days. p105/p106 WUs. I remember folding on a P1 60MHz PC and it took weeks to get a single WU done haha.

Manually update the stats for the past 24 hours? I pity the person that is going to do that.

    Welcome to the Team!

Make sure to have permission to run FAH at work. No need to get fired for it.

BTW: The first 4 WUs didn't return any points for you.

Re: Deserving virus for an Apple owner ???

Deserving to anyone who doesn't change the default password. Get off your Anti-Apple bandwagon.

For the record I have an iPhone but still don't like Apple computers.

  15. Re: Can we upgrade to win7 64 bit from windows ME?

Try again, only Vista users can do an upgrade to 7, all other OSs need to do a clean install. Think of how different Vista/7 is from any other OS.

    Re: I'm Back

I'll need to get the other quad running before I get up to you. But by looking at what I did in Nov last year I was at 18.1k PDD. Yikes.

I already have 1 SMP in VMWare and 1 GPU client. I'm trying...

    Back into the Top20. :)

Right now it looks like my VMWare instance of Linux was using 500+ MB, about 100mb for each A2 core. Assuming 100 per A2 core how small of a footprint could I get Ubuntu...

Re: Performance questions with Intel's new G2 SSD's

True, they should theoretically all fail at once but there is also more than 80GB of bits to fail.

Re: Performance questions with Intel's new G2 SSD's

You have to write GB upon GB of data every day for years and years to go through the cycling of the newer SSDs. Remember that with Intel SSDs you may be buying 80/160GB of storage but in reality...
