I have just updated the original system and it cured many of the issues the system had. I won't hesitate if you want to build amd you should.
I am planning a 6 core amd build next month

Not sure about PC mate but the tomahawk is a good low coat board, just pay attention to memory compatibility when you buy
Best advice is follow the compatability by the given motherboard. Amd is working on the memory compatability, do your research in the manufacturer motherboard forums.
I'd guess the amd build...
I just had to Google prefetch it has been so long, Win 7 is not 100% SSD friendly, Win 10 is.
Which i5 did you get 7600k?
I have 6600k @ 4.2 and it rocks
Great, msi still hasn't released a official bios for the tomahawk. They have unofficial but I'm not testing bios for them.
How do you like it so far?
New bios are coming with new amd memory settings, probably a few months away depending what board you are using.
Nice! Maybe they will have Bios issues solved by the time you get them :)
Hey Lenny,
Makes sense now. Treat yourself to an M.2, so damn nice. Try my Digital, really fast and cheap.

Almost as fast as samsung for 50 less...
Check my digital is cheap and fast
Do a little research on them
I usually do fresh loads but windows won't clone, that I'm aware of. Most drives have utilities, there are good free ones but they take some work.
Hey Lenny,
Just for curiosity why did you pick a 840, old drive?
Cool, I can't wait to see what you think of your computer after you install
Sounds nice, I sold this rig so I'm looking for pretty much the same build as you when they are released for myself!
Nothing? No one?
The one item I would change is get an M.2 Drive, try the MyDigitalSSD BPX, somewhat cheaper than then Samsung. Get a cheap storage SSD for main games if that is your pursuit. What total are you at...
Just made a visit over to the msi forums, if you post unboxings, reviews, help people you get points which can be turned in for free stuff.
With all the hardware that Ryan and everyone must have,...
Ya my intel rig boots very fast with my digital M.2.
Everything is faster with M.2, for sure. Maybe not as big an increase as standard HD to SSD but it is a noticeable difference.
I think it...
If I was in the market I would probably by intel unless it was for work right now, my main uses are internet and gaming at home. I will build a 4 or 6 core rig for my tv pc when they come out. I...
Well I guess everyone has read all the reviews. No real reason to post bench marks, look around everywhere.
Overall I am very impressed with the platform. The Chip, the MSI B350, M.2! Feel-wise...
Changed my planned build a little
Went for the 1700 & micro center had three boards in stock
MSI B350 Tomcat
ASUS Crosshair
Asus X300 board, I think prime
I went the Tomcat board for...
I have two of the 480. Very good budget drive. About $10 bucks cheaper at Microcenter.
I actually like the https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16820329008
but the price has...
Where are you guys? Celebrating my 50th Birthday today.
How is everybody, let celebrate the best budget boards ever made!

Damn very nice. I use to review Biostar on another site, always loved the brand but then ASrock fascinated me. I am going to replace my rip computer with a new ryzen 4 core when they are available in...
Yea its been a long time, I was out of the fever but than I did my sig computer and damn like a drug addict it bit me again. I've always been a huge AMD fan, my point is proved that intel should soon...
PCPEr is my favorite, but check Harpocp, Techreport, and Tomshardware too. I'll have a much more incomplete review somewhere in these forums.
Micro center has put out their boards available on the...
