    Re: CMOS not taking OC

If our BIOS are the same you might have more success
if you disable C1E and EIST in 'Advanced BIOS Features'.

Re: Can't get my OC to stick

In 'Advanced BIOS Features' disable C1E and EIST.
Hopefully the terminology will be the same as mine.
These are power saving options that will interfere
    with your overclocking.
  3. Re: Antec Truepower Quattro 850W worth 135 bucks?

I have 2 Antec TPQ 850s and have had no problems.
The build quality is very impressive and performance very stable.
Based on my experience I can reccomend this PSU.

    Re: Stepping

OK. I think I got it. Now, what can you
reccomend for an incredible head ache.

EDIT: I made a mistake. The BIOS option I was confused about was not Stepping, it is Strapping.

    The choices on...

    Re: GA-965P-DQ6 Power Problem

If you have issues and they go away with a different
Power Supply, I will go out on a limb and guess your
original PS is bad. In fact, I would not put the
failing PS back in. It could damage...

    Re: Stepping

I appreciate the answer but I thought stepping was the Memory Speed settings. On my MoBo BIOS it lists something like A1,A2, A3,A4 and B1,B2,B3,B4. The manual doesn't specify which is what speed. Am...

Could someone give me a concise explanation of "stepping." My MB manual does not discribe or list settings. Thanks Alot.

Re: bios in this system not fully ACPI compliant

If I am reading you correctly the problem began when you changed video cards. Try putting the other card back in and see what happens.

Now it's telling me my activation Serial Number has already been used.
Which is BS. I bought it retail and shrink wrapped. I sailed the f****** disk over the fence.

Exactly. Especially with the pathetic DL speed at my current locale.

    Re: Simple Endless Reboot Problem?

I am guessing it is either your MB or PS. BTW, if you remove the RAM you would get the system reboots you discribe. Well, at least I did.

    Orange Box

Can anyone speculate why Orange Box won't install on my system. It just seems to halt. System does not freeze or anything. The install process just seems to hang.

  16. Re: Rig turns back on after shutdown........

You might want to check out the DFI forum site. I did and found someone with your MB with the same problem and claims to have found the solution. It involves USB devices. It's worth a shot.
