    Help me decipher my SMART data.

    Well I started out getting "In-page errors" on some files, and after some research found that often times this points to a hardware problem. After running some Scandisk utilities I came up with...

    Re: PC won't power down at all.

    I had the same idea. I tried removing the power cord and taking the battery out of the motherboard for about fifteen minutes to reset everything. No dice.

    I hate to undo all my pretty wiring,...

    Re: PC won't power down at all.

    I have the computer now.

    The video card is bad. I don't know what happened to kill it though.

    I've checked the switchs and they seem to be okay. I tried the screwdriver thing instead of the...

    PC won't power down at all.

    Here is the story that my father relayed to me yesterday, and I'm trying to get ideas.

    He said that he came and his computer was running and frozen in XP, but it wasn't on when he had left the...

    Re: REAL Case lights?

    Any lights that you have connected to your PC couldn't be of much use to you while you're working on the inside of case because you shouldn't have any power running to the machine if you're working...

    Re: VNF-3 won't boot w/ video iPod plugged in

    Hey I've still got a Creative Nomad Jukebox 1, although upgraded to a 40GB drive. The thing is gigantic and takes about five minutes to boot up, but it's still kicking.

    Re: Venus 12 -> CoolDrive 4 (Aerogate 2)

    Yeah, the problem seems to be with all these fans that come with their own rheostat. They split the sensor wire to a three-pin header to go to the motherboard and then send the positive and negative...

    Re: How many CFMs for HSF?

    Well I'll have it hooked up to a CoolDrive 4, so I'll be able to turn it down if want.

    The fan that comes with the Venus 12 ranges from 26 - 76 cfm (or somewhere around there) according to...

    Re: Venus 12 -> CoolDrive 4 (Aerogate 2)

    That's how it works with the original rheostat that came with the Venus 12. But, when plugging it into the CoolDrive 4 you have to have the atleast yellow wire go to the CoolDrive instead of the CPU...

    How many CFMs for HSF?

    I'm probably going to replace the fan on my TT Venus 12 because I need a three pin fan. The original Venus fan is one of those three blade TT monsters. When looking for a new fan I was just...
  15. Re: CM Stacker vs. MountainMods Twice7 vs Aerocool Mastige

    Both the Stacker and Masstige take 120mm fans, and from the looks of it those front fans in the MountainMods case are 120mm.

    Venus 12 -> CoolDrive 4 (Aerogate 2)

    I swear I can't be the only one that had had a problem with this. I can't get the CoolDrive to control the fan on the Venus 12.

    I took the connector for the rheostats that came with the Venus and...

    The waterblock seems to consist of a whole bunch of really small posts instead of specific channels. Here's a pic.

    Re: Advice needed on cases

    I completely understand why you have a fan on it. I just don't understand why you used an 80mm fan. I thought the XP-90 took a 92mm fan, and the XP-120 took a 120mm fan. The bigger the fan the...

    I thought you could get extender cables so that you wouldn't have to buy a new PSU, but I haven't found any links. Does anyone else know?

    Re: Quality 350 PSU's @ $25 or less?

    That's just tricky of NewEgg. Especially considering I got to that PSU by listing brands and choosing FSP. :shifty:
