    Re: New Motherboard

If you connect the fans to your motherboard, make sure you set the fan speed switch to Hi so that the mobo will have access to the full range of speed the fan can provide.

    Also, the 2nd HDD LED...

Antecís TruePower Quattro power supplies, the TPQ-850 and TPQ-1000 have way more than enough power to run an 8800 graphics card and are SLI certified by NVIDIA. The actual issue with the graphics...

Re: New power supply in older Antec case??

Most current/new PSU's will fit. There are some models that are deeper so that might be an issue (our Phantom series and I think OCZ or Ultra have a model that's deeper then standard).

Re: Suggestions for a quiet/high cooling case?

For that case they almost had to go with a door. Easier to block noise with a door. Similar reason why it was made with steel. Steel vibrates less then aluminum.

But yeah I wish it had no door,...

    Re: Modular Power Supplies

We recently updated the +12V2. I'm not sure how long ago that happened, as I was only notified earlier this week.

Re: How to help airflow in case?

So you modded the side panel to get a duct to the CPU? Do you have a fan on the duct? If not, can you add a fan to your duct?

Anyway you can try moving the top hard drive down 1 slot, then you...

    Re: Antec Tru Power430W

MBM5/BIOS readings are often not what the PSU is actually putting out (no matter who makes the PSU). You're better off getting a volt meter and testing the PSU directly.

    Re: An Antec Usb Notebookcooler????????

    Short answer yes.

I use one on my Inspirion 1100. Went from being too hot to touch on the bottom to barely warm. Not to mention it's not horribly loud.

  13. Re: Antec True 430/480/550 PSU's... do they have PFC?

EC/UK versions of all of our PSU's have Active PFC.

Since nowhere else requires PFC at all I don't know for certain that the US/World versions even have passive PFC.

If you're talking about new Intel based mobo's (915/925) then:

So my new ATX12V v2.0 or PCI Express motherboard will require a 24 pin power connector?

No. All new motherboards for Intel CPUs...

  18. Re: Antec SX635BII: Quiet Computing Potential?

It depends on how quiet you want your system. It likely will not be quieter than the Sonata, and more likely noisier. That's just mostly because of the fan size difference.

    My boss found the problem.

The EU spec sheet (True550 EC/GB) used the True550 EPS12V specs instead of the True550 specs.

Which means that if you have a True550 EPS12V, the 12V rail can output...
