Since the Compact Wireless G is the only wireless adapter I've ever used, my knowledge of other ways and means is limited. I will look into the two things you've mentioned and if you have any...
Sorry, guess I should have mentioned that my adapter is USB.
Just wondering if it's time to upgrade my wireless adapter (Linksys Wireless G Compact adapter). Myself and my son (using same adapter) have had a drop-off in signal strength lately. We're now using...
Appreciate the advice, I will check it out. :D
I've got a Samsung 830 (128 GB) that I used to use when I had Win 7 installed. Now that I have Win 8 I want to use that drive for storing my games on. But I want to reformat it before installing any...
OK, thanks for the help and the explanation.:)
Just for my own edification, what would your reasoning be.
BTW, thanks for your reply. :D
I've just purchased a 3770k and a Asrock z77 extreme6 for a new computer build. I'm figuring I'm going to need to update the Bios on the board at some point as I'm not quite sure what Bios comes with...
I've been giving my next upgrade alot of thought recently and have decided I'm going to upgrade my computer to one of the Hawell processors and a Z87 motherboard when they become available. Just...
I did not know that, thank for the tip. Appreciate it. Thanks.:D
My motherboard is a Asrock Etreme4 Gen3. Asrock only has drivers for Win7 64-bit. I need drivers for Win 8 Pro 64-bit. It would be much appreciated if anyone could point me in the right direction. :D
Maybe a combination of 1 & 3. Get a Gen3 board along with a 2500k and wait for Ivy Bridge. Even with a 2500k you still have a pretty good computer for awhile. :D
Thanks for the insights on the MK-1, appreciate it. :D
I've been thinking about buying a new computer case lately and after looking at the Thermaltake MK-1 Full Tower. I find that it has peaked my interest. Just wondering if anyone else is using one or...
Just wondering how many of you guys are going to make the jump to SB-E?
OK, I've spent much time this weekend looking things over including the upcoming release of SB-E and decided the best way for me to go with my next upgrade is a SB i7 2700k and a Asrock P67 Extreme6...
Me three! :D
Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I will take them into consideration. :D
I probably will do some light overclocking. This new rig will be used mostly for gaming and I also do some video editing.
The onboard video is not a must as I have a 570 GTX that will go in the new upgrade. USB 3.0, SATA 6Gb/s are good along with Crossfire or SLI support. The others I'm indifferent about.
Right now, it will be just the motherboard. I already have some G.Skill DDR3-1600 (8 GBs) memory that I can use. I would probably upgrade the memory as funds are available.
The highest I would want...
Well, after reading some of the reviews on the AMD 8150 I've decided to stay with Intel again for my next build. I just picked up my 2600k from a local Microcenter for $280, but am having trouble...
Good question, I keep doing a Google search for any new news and come up with nothing. Guess we'll have to wait see as they say.
Just came across this page while looking up some info on the AMD Bulldozer, thought you might be interested. Seems the Bulldozer processors will hit the retail stores September 19th (possibly).

Ahhh.....I see. Thank you for your advice, 3dfxrain. Appreciate it. :D
