Heh darn, I know Fry's honors their mistakes My friends cousin got a XP333R for $70 before they marked the prices back up. Now he complains about how he should have bought the whole stock

Well I got an order in before they realized the mistake. I got an order confirmation, screen capture of the sale confirmation page, and hard copy of every page in the order process. When I check order status on the web page it is still showing as "In Progress" and everything looks good. Best Buy can back out if they want to, but it would be a fairly sheisty thing for them to do. I remember the whole Max Payne mix up that happened a while back where they F'd up the decimal place in the price and advertised it for $5.50 when it should have been $55.00. I know they sold their stock in minutes online, and in the stores. The still honored it and sold all orders of Max Payne for $5. Now, obivously $50 vs $270 is a MUCH bigger mistake, and it was a preorder not a regular order. We will just hafta see how this pans out, the worse that can happen is I wasted 5 minutes ordering this and I cancel and never get it. We will just hafta see.

Give it a day or two, then you'll receive your (cancelled order) email. This same thing happened with memory a month or two back to alot of guys. Best Buy should be the highest on the TROLL list .

They're covered and it was a website mistake that was caught quickly. Even if it was printed, they still don't have to honor it. Bait and switch does not come into play, so don't even bring that up. As far as the people who preordered it at that price, ride it out, you may get lucky, but probably not. I used to work retail and this happens more than you think it does. If it's mistagged in the store, you generally will get one at that price. They change the price right after they sell you one. Sometimes, they will sell them at the low prices in order to not lose too much customer faith if the price differences involved are somewhat low. I've had to deal with several hundred dollars typos before and it's not fun, but they can't let it slide.

Bummer, I was too slow to get in pre order to see if I could get one. But I distinctly recall that when you walk into their store there is a sign posted on the door that they are not obligated to give you the lower price when there is pricing errors.

    That's an odd necro post...
