    newbies question.... is OC CPU = OC video card?

    hey folks... i have a stupid question to ask?
    is OCing the CPU (raising the FSB) means OC the video card?
    if not... how to OC a video card????

    currently... i m using ATI Xpert 2000 Pro 32MB n i know is not a good video card.. planning to buy a new one... any suggestions??
    mid-price range plz... i m not rich~~~@@!!!!


    Mobo: MSI K7T266 Pro2
    CPU: AMD TB (266MHz) 1.0GHz @ 1.4 GHz (9.5 X 148)
    RAM: 256 DDR @ Cas 2-2-2 (OEM...)
    Video Card: ATI Xpert 2000 32MB Pro

    Most gamers into OC'ing do both their cpu and gpu.
    you can oc your card some , i used to have the same one, and used this handy app from here:

    as far as a good boost for the price you might want to consider the ATI 7500 , or even the 8500 prices are dropped lately.
    Nvidia cards are dropping in price also, the GF3 Ti200 is a good boost from what you have and isn't to expensive either.

    ok... just did the benchmark n it is 1187 @ 1024 X 768@ 32 bit...
    is that too slow???

    i'm not sure how that mark compares, do a "search and compare"
    at the ORB to see how your card and cpu matches against others with similar setups.
