How do I set up a ext3 file system?

Am reinstalling Mandrake 9.0 and would like to install with the ext3 file system. I assume it is an option in DiskDrake but I canít figure it out. I see the colored blocks that tell me what system a partition has but canít figure out how to change it.

    Any help greatly appreciated, Bill

I've never used Mandrake, but if the option isnt there to use ext3 to start with, you can always just use ext2 and then upgrade to ext3 after its installed. All you have to do is run tune2fs -j followed by the partition device, e.g. tune2fs - j /dev/hda1 , and do that for each partition device. You may need to check your /etc/fstab file afterwords and change any ext2 references to ext3.
