Ok I got my psu the psu sucks. Now I have to rma that crap. The brand name is TTGI. Its AMD approve.
My 300 watts Power-Win kicks the shiet out that psu. I think it might be defective or it just really sucks. I had mad problems with it. Freeze and reboots at my normal settings. My 5v rail was 4.78 at my normal setting, when my 300 watts was 4.85.
Next time I'm going with Antec or Enermax. Stay away from TTGI ppl!![]()

I've been looking through other forums and threads regarding the Samsung PC2700.
It seems that those who got 256mb sticks don't have the problems we have, and this problem only exists with 512mb sticks.
By the way, which bios is on your mobo?
I had 2612 and 2619 when the problem started, so I tried 2513 which seemed took care of the problem a bit. It's not perfect but it's a start.
I was using 2328, then I swap over to 2619. Didn't notice any difference. Still had the same problem. After some more burn-in, I was able to hit 173FSB with 3.00v.
After installing the new psu it all went down hill from there. Had many problems with new psu, so I put back in my old one. Now I can't get my 173FSB at all. I'm stuck at 170FSB again. Oh well!![]()

So your stuck at 170 huh! Well let me tell you my sad story that brought me here. After running happily on my ABIT KR7 for sometime, due to a careless mishap I shorted out my board and was in need of a new one. Being that the 333 chipset was out I would have to upgrade of course. After reading Toms bias hardware review I got suckered in yet again into buying a Gigabyte 7VRXP. After the last Gigabyte expierence I had, I said I would never buy another. Stupid me!! Could not get the board to clock higher than 155fsb with either samsung or crucial. The board also will not run anything stable in 4xAGP mode. I atleast have enough common sense to pull the useless piece of plastic out of my Koolance case powered by my 465 watt Eneremax and search for a worthy contender which has brought me here to this forum. Your complaint Sir!! seems to be about the only problem on the Epox board that I see posted. "only 170fsb" what a shame!! Yes what a shame!!
Go on over to the Gigabyte forum and read some of the posts, if you want a real laugh, or you could offer to sell your 170fsb capable board to anyone of them for $200. Anyway I think you have convinced me to go with Epox over the Abit this time around.

Sorry to hear about your problems. I had an Epox MB before and I like it so that’s why I stayed with Epox. It is a shamethat I can only hit 170FSB. Other people on this forum with my MB can get up to 200FSB. I can only do that in my dreams. I hit 190FSB on SPD, but Windows XP went down hill after I restarted. I'm really happy with my setup, but like all people I crave more POWER!
Best of luck to you with your new MB!![]()

come to realize that DTL has problem with Epox mobo, especially 8K3A+.
Only when I manually changed all the memory setting in the bios, the memory became stable.
I first set the bios setting to "Normal" mode, then chose "Manual setting" to change other values to be same as Turbo mode.
Right now, I'm running mine at 170mhz, 2-2-5-2-T1. with 0.2V more voltage.
Yeah you’re right. I have to put memory to normal, and then manually put every timing to whatever I want.
It’s a shame that I can only run 170FSB (with 2.7v)@CAS 2 with my DTL. Anything higher @ CAS 2 I will get reboots/BSOD (tried voltage up to 3.0v). Right now I’m running 189FSB (7x189) @SPD. Bench higher than 170FSB CAS 2. So I’ll just stick with this setting for now.
I’m getting a 520w psu soon. I’m hoping it will allow me to over clock a bit higher.![]()

Sounds like my OCZ3000. Any setting other than normal won't let me into windows.Originally posted by Link

But get this, when I leave at normal, and manually change all the settings to turbo, everything is fine, except I BENCH THE SAME. The timing settings (normal, fast, turbo) must change registers that you can't manually through the bios. Apparently my ram can't handle any settings higher than normal![]()
My box is chaotic...who knows what's working and what isn't right now...
