    clock speed

my gforce 2 mx 400 is dispalying the clock speed as 200/334 in both coolbits.reg (looking at nvidia settings) and in the gforce tweak utility as i want to oc this thing a little this is making it complicating. when i set the clock speed higher it doesnt do anything to performance.

It seems that it's detecting your video card as a DDR video card. Althought MX cards are not known to have DDR memory, it's very possible that you have a DDR card with a 64 bit path which would give you the bandwidth of 128 bit SDR ram. Go to www.guru3d.com and dowload Riva Tuner. Once you download it, go to the overlcoking options menu, click on more, and mess with the " fake DDR workaround" which might help somewhat with the different settings.

k working on that, and im also having problems runing 3dmark after i install it, and click on the shortcut it says browsing for link file, i direct it to the 3d mark exe file and it starts up with the 3dmark2001se red screen thing then says there is a unwanted code or something in the exe file?

and when i look in riva tuner it says i only have 64 megs sdr memory.

i set it to 220/380 in the tweaker thing and it shows that speed in the riva tuner and i set fakeddr walkaround from auto to force on i guess its just displaying it wrong should i just divide that number by 2? so the ram is at 190?

Well, you might have to reinstall 3dmark to get it to work. I don't know of any MX cards that had more than 64 megs of ram, isn't that what you're supposed to have? If you said that to point out that you have SDR mem, then go to the little triangle just to the right of that, click it, and choose the picture that looks like a video card, there you can adjust the "Fake DDR workaround" if it's still present, and you can try to overclock from there.

And yes, whatever number you see, just divide it by two. That's sort of weird though.

Try uninstalling it completely and installing it onto a different location.
