Without unlocking? Also you dont think running the FSB that high will mess up the H/D or any other components? I know it doesnt hurt or put much strain but running that high of a FSB?

I'll try and make this my last question before getting the CPU and getting started!

with better memory and water cooling this chip would easily push over 1900mhz... but i'm not too mad with 1866mhz

the 1600+ is the way to go IMHO

Nice one tod. But I put this chip in old 8Kha+ just to see if it was unlocked. Which it isn't. Anyway maybe second try will be a charm. I have a 8k3a+ and will run up the fsb then.

    Cooled by air SLK800

mInes just on water, I really think i could go more if I had a better psu, the little antec 350 ius doing pretty well though.

Bill yeah the 8k3a would be ideal, i think with all the voltage that has to offer i could hit two gig with that and a better psu.

On the 8KHA+, once you get around 166 fsb and beyond you have to start worrying about your PCI bus. It gets way out of spec having only the 1/4th PCI divider. The new KT333 boards have the 1/5th so you can crank it up

On the Crucial ram, I don't think you will get much over 155fsb with 2 sticks in. Take one out and try them individually. I had 2 x 256mbs of Crucial PC2100 that did 144 fsb cas 2 at 2.8volts. One stick by itself is doing 173 fsb cas 2 right now, the other topped out at 150ish, I can't really remember. So I just left the slower one out and I'm running at 173 fsb. I haven't noticed any difference in performance of my system from going to 256 from 512. It is actually probably faster since my FSB is so high now.

do you think the SLK-800 will be enough to get to 1800mhz on the agoia-y 0213?
