on-board USB headers the same on all mobos?

The K7M connector uses a 10pin cable, and the KA7 uses an 8 pin. I don't know why they are different since they are using the same chipset to controll the extra USB ports so they should have the same pinout.

Does anyone know if I could use the bracket extension delivered with a K7M in another KX133 mobo? Ie is the USB header electronically the same on all or most mobos?

This question because I mount these in the front of my case and as I've got one I don't have the patience to try and hunt up a bracket for a mobo not including one (mind you, Sweden is a tough country

Steve, they're included with some of the mobos, like the K7M.

SOmebody told me there was a store that would actually custom make that USB cable as well as a customized front panel attachment that mounted on the drive bays for front access USB ports but stupidly I lost the link to the site and cant even remember what their name was. I'll have to look into it later cuz I wan't/need those extra ports.

yepp, that sounds like a treat.. (having them custom mounted atm for plugging sticks)
