How do i get rid of voodoo drivers?

Simple question. I just bought an ATO 8500 128mb (for $123! w00t!). I currentlly have a Voodoo 3 3000. I have heard that for best performance I need to erase all the old voodoo drivers? How do I do that exactlly?

In a related note, whats the best way to install the 8500 drivers? Should I bother with the CD or just DL them?

    Thanks guys in advance.

A good link on uninstalling Ati drivers.. will give you the general
how to get rid of old video drivers.. get the file RegCleaner linked there. I'd just snoop the forums there to see what works best for W2K driver wise and download them..

Go to device manager while your Voodoo is in and go to properties. Then click on UNINSTALL DRIVER. This will remove any remnents of the driver. Then make sure that there is not a Voodoo folder with any .vxd's or similar in your C: drive. Then completely remove the old card. (In device manager and physically) then install the new card and dl the new catalyst drivers. I wouldn't use the CD.
