    I have an athlon 700 on a k7m.
what does the revision "P, Stepping 16" mean?
does this say anything about the overclockability of my chip?

That's what I get too. I know that mine is one of the first boards that came out, so I'm guessing it's an early stepping of the chipset, not allowing super-bypass

Try flashing to the latest BIOS and see if you get the new superbypass feature!
