I have Leadtek TI4200 card with vivo. I was fooling around with video capturing and I was amazed that I can capture mpg2 video at 720x480 resolution and maintaining 30 fps. I used to have a tv-tuner card and I couldn't even capture at 640x480 with the same rig.

My question is does the TI4200 card have a mpg2 encoder hardwired? Ulead VideoStudio6 came with the card and I tried capturing on-the-fly using the divx encoder but I got skips. If I use mpg as my encoder I don't get skips with my video captures. Also, why is it that I can capture to mpg2 video from a video source in realtime and yet, encoding from an avi file to mpg2 takes forever?
