    opn confusion on retail box

    I am looking at an XP1800+ retail box with the following opn:
    ADUAX1800BOX

    Is this Palomino or Thoroughbred?

    I need to know as my MS-6340M ver3.0 mobo can only take a Palomino (according to MSI page)

    The last 4 letter on my CPU are XPMW (complete- AIUHB0304XPMW)
    It's a AXDA2100DUT3C

    I can't seem to find anywhere that will tell me what XPMW means. Is it a batch number or something, because it's next to the 0304?

    In SYSTEM and in WCPUiD my cpu shows as unknown :/

    Gameve.com chip

    what about AIUHB 0301, 0302? This is all they list for a thoroughbred on gameve.com's website. How can you tell if this is a revision B thoroughbred?

    I believe all the XP's made this year "301,302,..." are B's. if you look closely at the first post, it explains it well. If your CPU is a 2400+ or higher, it's a B (or a barton if you spent more $$); and AIUHB is a newer stepping than the ones posted above, meaning it's a newer "B" chip.
