Question Question about Tbred 1700+ voltage setting

Just doule checking... is 1.9V on Tbred 1700+ safe? Heard 0.13 micron chips don't take high voltage as well compare to 0.18 micron chips. True, false?

Right now running my 1700+ @ 11*184 @ 1.9V. Just wondering cuz I don't know to kill my CPU.

    Thanx.

As long as you are cooling it efficiently there should be no problem. When you increase voltage you effectively increase the speed that your transistors can switch (thus enabling you to overclock higher) however you shorthen the "life expectancy" of these components as well. I believe that if you research enough the AMD white papers you can actually calculate how fast your cpu components degrade when overvolting but i don't think you have anything to worry about @ 1.9v I actually think that the Tbreds are more power hungry when overclocking compared to the Palomino core. BTW that is one sweet overclock!
