    Question CPU speed

This may be a silly question, but does a faster CPU fold faster?

I've tried two different cpus a 1.3 ghz Tbird
and an XP 1700+ clocked at 1..8 ghz.

Both seem to fold at the same speed.

They were not folding the same protein, so I guess I'm comparing apples to oranges.

Yup you need apples in both baskets. Faster CPU speed including OC's to FSB = faster folding. Any XP is faster than the same speed Tbird
