Video card upgrade...But which??

It will sit on a BX440 base mobo (agp x2) with a PIII 550 ,running 98SE and it will replace a 3dfx 2000 16MB PCI.
Since this is an old system by today's standarts I don't want to overkill paying for features that I can't use, but in the other hand maybe I should thinking for when it's time to say goodbye to this Mobo + PIII. May be a Radeon 9000 will do fine what do you think?? Thanks

Hey there,

I am no expert, but from what I know the Radeon 8500 is
supposed to run better then the 9000 and is only a few bucks
more.
8500 LE = $66
9000 = $63

Again, I am no expert on this.
