    Great list!

    SetiBench:
Another benchmark is of course our Seti@Home benchmark:
    http://seti.amdmbpond.com/benchmark.html
Get your gear smoking and be part of the list!

    Atto:
Atto can be obtained directly (w/o entering any email) here: http://www.attotech.com/software/files/ept163.exe
To set Atto up correctly, select "Total Length" = 32 MB and check both the "Direct IO" and "Neither" checkboxes.

    Winbench99:
    http://www.etestinglabs.com/benchmar...h/winbench.asp
Winbench99 is still used as a harddrive benchmark utility.

I am contenplating buying a laptop and /or upgrade my desktop PC.

For comparison purposes in terms of gaming I'd like to be able to run benchmarks like:

    UT2003 FlyBy
    Serious Sam: Second Encounter
    Jedi Knight 2

    I don't have these games.
Is there a way to download these benchmarks or are they just games running while monitoring fps?

    thanks in advance for posting

si sandra is the atypical bench its easiest to compare on the web

and for mem i love cacheburst 32 from bench hq russia i just got 1980 mb/s bandwidth
i see your running 98 did you may not know the .vxd screw up
this is a link for the 98se vxds
    www.sci-www.net/Support/win98se.htm
also i love cacheman www.outertech.com dont enable the disk cache if you run a hd utility ie perf test the benches are better without it run everything else moderately high see results
ill give you my settings if your interested
currently im paranoid about tracks in the registry sisandra and pc mark 2002-3 leave data perf test and cacheburst dont
also i have no web i use 98 micro
here is the link www.litepc.com/ 98lite is MUCH faster if you have another web machine
let me know your benches i am getting 302.7 in perf test
i ll tell you my machine nextime

I DL'd the SiSandra <as per the *browser* test via the link above>

When I hit the shortcut from my desktop, I get an error.

**Could not initialise Database! Make sure file is ok; instal latest MDAC**

    From there, if I hit the OK button, it takes me to the SiSandra program. I get a second error;

**Tips not enabled or not found!**

Then all "seems" to work. But I am new to all this. I dont know if it works, or its just running loops.

I did a few test runs, but like I said, I'm not sure if it is actually doing anything. I dont see any info that I understand or pertaining to benchmark scores.

    Help please.

    Thx.

{EDIT} This is where/what I downloaded <from the SiSandra link in first post here>

    Benchmark HQ
    Sandra Standard 2003 9.31 [MD5: 04d8d45ac7b61d1af5e4fd0cf2f2f118] [December 2002] [New!]

    Thx again for info.
