It's in the covered garage slot. It likes it there.

BTW -any suggestions on what slot the TBSC might want to occupy on my Asus MB. Does it matter? Just try one? I only have a network card currently "slotted."

Just installed the new card. It is indeed better sound than the cmedia onboard chip. The install was a piece of cake, although the sound test flunked me on the hardware check. According to the TBSC website, that can happen even if things are OK. Hmmmm.

I can't believe that anything is wrong, considing how good the sound is!

    Hi

Although this is an "ancient" thread...I have had luck with Phillip's 705 Seismic Edge card.

The game port was installed with no issues.

That cannot be said for my TBSC.

If you own (or know someone who does) a Santa Cruz, I would like to hear your opinions of how it performs, and of any problems or conflicts you have experienced with it.

    Thank you...

Great card, own two, one in a P4, one in an xp. ZERO problems ever. Drivers are much nicer than creatives, and need LESS updates.

    I highly recommend the TBSC.

    Hi

Because of TBSC's issues with NF2, and the lack of a onboard game port, I've had to go back to my Phillip's Seismic Edge.

I wished there was a solution for the Santa Cruz

First I've heard of that "issue".

And the TBSC has a joystick port, if that is what you mean?

    Hi

The game port will not install.

I've had several other Phillips and CL cards, which also will not enable their game ports.

Only the 705 Siesmic Edge will do it for me. I believe its peculiar to the NF2.

    Hi

    I am afraid so.

My NF7-S does not have a onboard game port, but the onboard audio is disabled.

    Hi

That , I dont know yet.

I havent gotten that one back yet. I sent it out for mods. It will have adjustable vdmm and more adjustable vdd.

I used a old pentium heatsink/fan and after lapping both it, and the nb, epoxied it to the nb.

I am hoping for great things from that board next week.

However, I am enjoying this NF7-S for now.
