Yup, definitely.
From what I've seen, the price difference between pro and nonpro is like $30 CDN, or $18US. There is quite a performance difference, look at reviews.
Unless you want to do the apparent 128mb 9500 np into 9700np thingy........
It isn't apparent, but it doesn't always work.
I was successful with 2 3.3ns versions.
Q6600
8GB corsair XMS DDR2
MSI K9N Platinum 780i
2*Evga 8800GT at 650Mhz (factory)
x-fi Platinum
150GB Raptor, 2TB Others
Corsair 650W PSU
Lian Li PC65 case
But with the recent "fix" reported on w1zzard's site, maybe all R9500NPs will be able to turn into R9700 without artifacts?
Muadib42, if you're willing to take a gamble, try the R9500. If the mod doesn't work, you can always OC it very well. Otherwise, if it works, you essentiall get a R9700 for much less.

Ooops, I see he says "no oc/ing or modding".
Muahdib (Dune reference?????), if that is true, get the 9500PRO.
