I could not believe that it could make it. I retested three times and got the same overall result: excellence.

In the review at digit-life.com , they needed to use Lynx Two as reference card to get this overall performance. Their detail results are better of course. But I could not ask my card for more cause Lynx Two costs $1400. So the line in of this card is almost as good as Lynx Two's.
After three months, it makes me so proud of it again.

Anyway, the music it reproduces matters. I don't know when I get bored of it. Because of this card, I love stereo sound now. No more surround algoirthms while listening to music

I totally agree. Music the way it was meant to be listened to. I've had this card for little over a week and I am still blown away by it.

Nice set up there. I have the same case and thinking about getting the same card.

You should get yourself some bi amp monitor speakers and your set.
PC speakers arent nearly as good.

    A question for IAmGhostDog:
Since you have the card, do you think its possible to pull the ribbon cable out the back of the case and place the breakout box next to it instead? Is it long enough? I have a case with a door on it (Chieftec) which would cover the box.

The breakout box is pretty cool. All sealed unlike Creatives. The ribbon is pretty long, however I don't know about out the back. You might be able to get it to about half way down the side of your case. Also the box is powered from the ribbon, that too unlike Creative which needs a separate power connecter from your PSU.

Wow thats kinda short. Found a review where it says 32" but maybe thats wrong. I would really like to have an external box, but the closest in my price range I've found is the Creative Audigy2 Platinum EX. And I'm not so sure that its any good.

    No way 32"
    18" is standard IDE length.
Unit is designed for 5 1/4" bay. Ribbon same. Internal.
    Sorry.

Man, youre quick in replying. Guess you dont have a life either, like me

Hmmm, short cable like IDE. Wonder if one could replace it with a longer one. Anyway, have you heard anything about the Creative Audigy2 Platinum EX?

It's Sunday. Just hanging out. trying to get motivated to get out of this chair and feed the dog and go to the store. lol
As to your question. You might be able to replace it. I had an Audigy before this card. People like them. The key to an Audigy is to not install all the Creative bloatware. Music wise this card blows the Audigy away.
