    FF - Next Tourney?

Hey guys, what's our next tourney going to be? Same game? Same type of game?

    Lets post requests here.

I could go for a Q3 Team-Deathmatch tourney... Most people have this game and games don't last very long.

Also, UT2K3 is a HUGE hit, another CTF tourney would be great for me! or even TDM...

I love the Delta Force games... they are GREAT team-based games... even the first one!

Maybe we could have a 6v6 warcraft3 tourney? or a 4v4 starcraft tourney?

    What do you guys think?

Ok I will throw out a couple of games that I like. How about a SOF II type match or BF1942 or MOH for that matter? Or the ever popular Half Life could be tried.

After all this CTF Instagib I think an old fashioned UT2003 DM tournament might be fun

I'm all for SOF II! It's been a while since I played that game. Hopefully we'll take the lessons learned in this tourney and make the enxt one better.

I'd like to see a UT2003 variety tourny, where each match consisted of one game each of TDM, DOM, CTF, and BR. THAT would be a blast, I think!

As long as we included Death Ball in the rotation or as a tournament in and of itself!

That would be cool. I haven't played that mod yet, but Tigs' been tinkering with it. He seems to like it.

I'm with Len on this one. Let's drop the teams next time & just have some old-fashioned fragging fun!!!

Otherwise, SOF2 would be my game of choice. Haven't played it in ages. Come to that, haven't played anything in ages!!!

I'm open to playing UT2003 again, regardless of what format. As long as I can frag Mirage, I'll be happy

i'm all for a ut DM tourney... I would love it? No instagib this time, though. Too hard for people with high pings to play.

    Lets talk format

I think we learned a little in the course of the ongoing tourney
A . Its hard to schedule a good time between 12 people across all the cont US time zones and others.
B . Sometimes a good connection for 12 players is hard to obtain at the scheduled match time .

possible work around for both problems

Make teams of 5 or 6 players but play 4 on 4 matchs , 5 on 5 or more only when both teams have enough Team members present . It makes scheduling easier and gets rid of using players from other teams for subs which could get messy .
Other thought on subject was that 5+ weeks schedule maybe a bit long , shorter ,twice a week scheduling maybe . Possibly easier to arrange if teams only need to produce 4 players for a match .

    My .02 on the format
Any other ideas on format of tourney , Lets hear em
