    1.5v video cards?

    Hi all,

I just ordered a ASUS A7N8X Deluxe (that's a mouthful) that should arrive on my doorstep tomorrow if everything goes as planned.

I'm still using an old GeForce 2 GTS video card, however, I have read that this system board only supports 1.5v video cards. I cannot find any information that specifies wether or not my video card is 3.3v or 1.5v anywhere. I tried running Sandra, but it gives just about every mainboard voltage BUT the AGP slot.

Does anyone have any clue on which this might be, or am I just going to have to plug it in and see if everything works as it should?

The Geforce 2 GTS is a 1.5V card. I have one running in an EPoX 8RDA+ right now.

If the card officially supports AGP 4X, then it can be run in 1.5V mode.

    AGP 1X/2X are 3.3V specifications.

you SURE? It is quite likely dual voltage.

AGP 4x cards are 1.5V. All of them.

It is the older AGP 1x/2x cards that are 3.3V. AGP 2x/4x/8x cars are 1.5v. Some agp 2x are 3.3, some are 1.5.

It is the notch in the agp card's pin connectors that determines the voltage. cards with 2 notches are dual voltage. A 3.3v card will NOT fit in a 1.5v slot and vice versa.
