And Mr. T I apologize if I stepped over those bounds.

Here are the Resolutions pertaining to Iraq in 1991 (post cease-fire):

    687

    quoting sec 8.

"8. Decides that Iraq shall unconditionally accept the destruction, removal, or rendering harmless, under international supervision, of: (a) All chemical and biological weapons and all stocks of agents and all related subsystems and components and all research, development, support and manufacturing facilities; (b) All ballistic missiles with a range greater than 150 kilometres and related major parts, and repair and production facilities."

They STILL have NOT met these REQUIREMENTS of the said resolution, 1441 (or even the one being proposed) is not needed at all.

HERE are all the resolutions pertaining to Iraq:
    http://www.caabu.org/press/documents...documents.html

A testament that they're and have ALWAYS been defiant to the UN, why else would the UN continually approve new resolutions (pertaining to weapons) for Iraq? It also shows just how efficient and credible the UN's "laws" are when there are no teeth attached to it. (and that usually comprises of the UN calling on the US and its allies to enforce them most of the time).

And then the US/UK or any nation can just bypass the above and claim Article 51 of the UN charter, thus making both "support" and the UN moot.

Well I haven't followed this thread at all so sorry if I repeat something thats already been said.

Ok then. I have to say that Blix is a incompetent moron. He is trying to play both sides of the fence instead of reporting. Almost every report he gives is mixed, saying that Saddam isn't fully cooperated but talks are encouraging and that they need more time or that thier cooperationg is improving. The guy was brought in to make sure Iraq abides by resolution 1441 which says Iraq has to fully and immediately disarm and abide by all the terms set forth or face serious consquences ie: war. Right off the bat Saddam lied in that 12,000 page document...(much like some of us did in school when there was a book report, ya know scribble a really long BS report the night before its due and hope the teacher just skims it and gives you a good grade) Also Blix calls the destroying of the Al-somwhatever II missles significant? If anything it should show how Iraq is still decieving everyone. Those weapons were suppose to be turned over by Iraq, they shouldn't of had to have been found and they shouldn't of needed to convince Iraq to destroy them. Iraq waited till the last possible second before the inspectors went to make there UN report to start destroying them.

Now lets look at the most recent report. Once again mixed reviews for Iraq. But heres the kickers in the briefing to the Council Blix fails to mention the fact they they discovered Iraq was developing illegal Drone aircraft and that they have evidence supporting that Iraq hasn't destroyed its chemical weapons stock. Instead he simply buries it in the middle of a 173 page report. You can't get much more incompetent then that.

I wonder what hes gonna say about the bombs they found today hidden in populated areas around Iraq. The bombs have been modifidied to carry chemical and biological agents.

This is what the war protestors don't understand, He is hiding all his weapons. We must go in and disarm him to make the world a safer place.

There are now reports that Iraq today threatened the UN ordered U-2 flights. So not only is he not cooperating, he is now talking about shooting down the planes that the UN asked for to hold off war. Does anyone actually think Saddam is trying to avert war?

You say this is an unjust war, well you're not going to be fighting it so sit back and enjoy your comfortable life. Just do me one favor and don't use me or my fellow military members as a way of drawing sympathy to your ideals on this topic. It is very insulting to those of us that support our Commander
Sure we'll no fight the war but we will fighting the cost of living, high taxes, and WE taxpayers no the Commander we'll paying for this and I think they are our soldiers too, oh may be there is another army

I hope they just drop the issue and start to talk about the computers.

Well, if the American people were to vote for it, the MAJORITY would vote YES regardless of the UN. (but that was already done by the representatives elected to Congress and the Senate), so your tax point is moot - seeing that your in the MINORITY.
