Mandrake 9.1 is close...

So I guess 9.1 is right around the corner.

Cooker runs fine and stable on my laptop for the last weeks anyway.

I updated RC2 to cooker's last state two days ago, and it rocks !!!
My kde 3.1 is really sweet !!!

Is 9.1 going to be a one CD release? I heard/read something about Mandrake trying to cut down on the number of CDs used for the dist.

9.1 can already be preordered at Mandrakestore.
The download version is a pack of 3 CDs.
Prosuite is a set of 8 cds. There's also a one DVD package.

not worth the $54... I'll just download onto one of my machines, and FTP the images during the install.

no waste of CDs, and you get the speed of 100MBps networking.

May I remind you that paying a box can help many teams to buy the rigs and pay power bills so they can develop the nice stuff you enjoy ?

I don't think 54$ is a large amount for any distro.
