    Splinter Cell

is it just me, or can other people out there not "get into" this game. I don't know if it is the constant re-starts, or the necessity for stealth. I guess I just like to go in with guns blazin, but can't in this game. ......Just had to rant a little............

lol, I had a blast with that game, I got like halfway thru the ame on the hardest difficulty, it's quite easy if you know what you're doing. everytime I killed a bunch of people, then hid their bodies, the korn song "dead bodies everywhere" was going in my head, rofl. then I reformatted and lost my saved game, so I said the hell with it :|

I liked splinter cell, but got bored with it when you end up in China somewhere. Got lost, and the enemies will kill you onsight if they see you.

Automatics, and you can't kill them.

Stealth is good, but I don't like not being able to kill anyone.

I didn't like thief for that reason.

the sneaking in sof2 just messes up the game. to me, it's supposed to be a fast paced action packed gory as **** game...if I wanted to sneak around, I'd play splinter cell :\

sry for ranting, sof2 is both a kickass game, but has tiny faults in it :O

As with any other Tom Clancy title, I uninstalled the Splinter Cell demo as fast as I could. I know I'm in the minority when I say I hated Rainbow Six, Rogue Spear, or anything else with Clancy's name on it. I was bored to death within minutes of playing any of those titles.

I guess I'm the type who likes to run in with guns ablazin'. I still think Thief was the best first person "sneaker" of all time though.

I pretty much enjoyed the demo and I snagged the game on fleabay (hasn't arrived yet) but I still have a couple of small nagging doubts as to whether I'll really like it. After reading the reviews I thought this game was going to impact the industry like Tomb Raider did back in 199X. But in reality the game has its annoyances/drawbacks.

You get the slight nagging feeling that this game could have ruled the whole world if just a few things could have been improved.

Agree on Rainbow 6. Someone showed it to me and I tried it for a minute and thought it was lame. As soon as 1 inch of your body leaned around a corner you were dead. I don't think today's games have good enough AI, modeling, computer-controled teammate gameplay, etc. to pull of something like R6 or Rogue Spear successfully. Stories of your team members getting stuck in doorways just ruined it for me I guess.

My video "tribute" to Armed Assault.
