Very good article, I have never seen the stepping broke down quite that far.

    LOW Budget OCing

Read that article, very damn good, info was really helpful . My question is when it comes to a .10 voltage difference but a $10 price diff (or more after ship & handling), which of these two (1, 2)processors should I go for? I prolly won't go for more than a 300-400 oc, and money is a big factor...
You know I'm kinda answering my own question, prolly should choose the cheaper proc. Sorry for the .
    When a crash comes along,
    you can
    fsck it!
    Before your file system's gone,
    you must
    fsck it!...

Does any of this concern you guys? What about the other major components in the PC?
It's true that one Asus A7N8x overclocks better than another. Same version, same date, but lesser quality construction? How are we going to find out if we have an 'A' or 'J' board?
What about video cards? I don't want to think about it!!.
Reviewers are going to be hit hard about this subject, and it's going to make readers reconsider their faith towards their favourite reviewer's opinions. Maybe review sites will soon be hit with a standard (ISO?) to ensure they are using the 'good' equipment, and not the crud that cheap vendors push out.
It explains why the reviewer's opinions are so varied!
