Question what will 64-bit computing bring?

i dont know much but i was wondering what the advance from 32bit to 64 bit computing would bring as far as benefits. The 64bit processors will use entirely new motherboards right?

the largest advantage is in the server market, where systems will be able to access more than 4Gigs of RAM. otherwise, the Hammers are just better than athlons at 32 bit code and way better at 64-bit optimized code.

64-bit enables more complex computations. So a 64-bit CPU can process more complicated jobs faster than a 32-bit CPU(under the condition that the program is optimized for both 32 and 64 bit processors).
