    I got my 2500+ Barton/ Corsair XMS PC2700LL Platinum combo up to 11x202MHz (see sig )

    Running @ 1.7v to CPU, and 2.9v to Mem.
    It passes Memtest86 (test 5 for a 3 hour loop) at 205 MHz, but my temps were getting a tad warm for summertime OCing, so I backed 'er off a bit.

    I just picked up this 2500xp AQXEA 0330vpmw. At the moment I am at 220x11 with1.75 vcore. Ran memtest for a hour running Prime at the moment. so far this chip is looking pretty good.

    I bought it at a local PC Store.

    I got it to run 200x12.5 and ran memtest for 4 passes but crapped out With prime 95 right from the start.

    I have had similar problem at trying to run my 2500 at 12.5+ as a multiplyer.

    If I had more Vcore I could probaply make that work, but all in all I'm pretty happy I could see making it run stable a 2450 mhz

    Without really playing around I'm at 202x11 vcore at 1.65v, my temps are 26c ambient 35c Cpu idle. (I need to lap the slk 800 more and get some PCM+ instead of the AS3)

    you have rev 2.0 of your board ?
    mine won't go higher than 193-195 which was a problem with the earlier versions.
    Have you relaxed your ram rimings at all ?

    yes i was. sorry i wasn't clearer.
    those timings seem very strange to me....obviously i have no idea what i'm talking about. I just set mine to the recommended settings by corsair.
    Isn't '11' real loose and the rest really tight ?
    how does that effect performance ?

    graham_h, There is a big debate over these timings. Although they may not work for every one. Some are finding better stability with these timings. As far as performance goes difference is very little if any!! This seems to be the latest fad over in the memory forum.

    240*9.5 = 2280 Mhz @ 1.85v

    ram timings = 2.5, 3, 3 ,11 @ 2.8v

    Barton 2500+ AQXDA 0313

    Completely stable at 215*12 (2580mhz), 2.125vcore

    Was stable at 217*12 (2604mhz), 2.175vcore until one of my mosfets overheated and blew up.

    Note to others: DO NOT cut out the overcurrent protection on your board if you want to run 2.2vcore - that is what i did, and it cooked my board .

    NF7-S is on its way.

    Board was an EPOX 8RGA+, A3 core.

    Watercooling on NB and CPU. CPU was 54c under max load @ 2.15v.

    I did get better performance at fsb 212 and over but under that fsb the the tighter timings ran faster. But yes your right that at high fsb I am getting alot better performance with the loser setting ie 11.3.2.2. I thought that it was more of a stability thing, now I stand corrected. Thanks!!
