Maybe your daughter wants to give you a piece of her mind because you buy her cheap-ass cereals

    Re: The Swamp

its been an exciting day for me so far and its not even 9am. First, I wake up to the commotion of my roommates realizing theres no hot water: our furnace is busted. Explains why it was so cold in the middle of the night: I woke up to the house being 40F. Then, I get to work and theres a car fire in the parking lot. Its kind of just smoldering as I pull up, then bursts into flames from under the hood. Eventually somebody brings a fire extinguisher and the cops show up with some extinguishers and tools. Its some poor guy's brand new car too, completely totaled.

It was the universe trying to even you out. It realized you were cold from having no furnace so it was just providing some warmth. Thank you, the universe!

The universe is a jerk, don't try to pretend otherwise! Apparently the landlord can't quite figure out whats wrong with the furnace. First it was the fact that we didn't have the heat tape turned on for the oil inlet to the furnace. Then it stopped working again. I guess they came back to take another look and its working again... but my whole house smells like nasty oil fumes. At least its going to be extra toasty when it explodes.

I would guess not considering that CO is odorless... and I'm not dead yet. Damn things been on the fritz all weekend. Working intermittently. We could get it to start by hitting the reset button on it, but it wouldn't restart after stopping. This morning we couldn't get it to start at all.
