    Re: The Swamp

Some things better, some things worse. Roof definitely needs replaced soon, I'm sure it will last till next spring when I can get a home equity loan though. There's more newer windows in it than I though, this is technically good, but I do like the way the original windows look a lot better.

Finished basement is not the most useful or well thought out, I'd definitely change the layout and get rid of the paneling. This basically makes the finished basement not finished for me, but that's not really a big deal for me.

They took all the light fixtures with them, wall plates too, not a huge deal and to be expected on a lot of foreclosures.

Foundation is better than expected, houses this age are often stone foundations, which are a pain, this one is block which is better.

There's some small things like paneling and a drop ceiling in the hall that I don't understand. Popcorn (the old plaster kind) in the master bedroom, some rooms seem to have drywall while others still have the plaster.

Bathroom is missing the medicine cabinet, but otherwise it's one of the nicer ones I've seen.

I wouldn't call it a fixer upper, it's livable for sure once I replace the lighting, but it does need work and I can't escape that with my price range.

Oh and for Matt, it has a circuit break panel, but it looks like most of the lighting is 2 wire, the outlets have grounded receptacles, but I can't say whether they're grounded. The wires I can see are old school.

On my drive home thursday and friday I saw 2 Alcatel-Lucent (suppliers of VZW's LTE backhaul equipment IIRC, matt can probably confirm) trucks parked outside the shed. It'd be nice if they fixed it soon.

Floating clipboard - sure sign of a ghost infested house. Sell immediately!!! Haven't you seen Ghost Adventures?

But seriously the house looks pretty nice for that price. Hardwood floors everywhere. I see what you mean about the look of the old windows with the nice wood trim. The wood door trim is nice too.

It would be interesting to see a posts per day over time breakdown.

Yea, I think when I came back from my hiatus I was only at about 5k posts, which means over 3 years I did about 5k... it would be interesting to see it in bar chart form by year.. probably only a handful each year between 2005-2010 with a ton in the years before and since that time

New hangout for us to replace the now defunct google+ hangout. I invited everyone but coda, don't have him in my circles yet. All you should need is the hangouts app from google play, or the chrome plugin, or I believe you can chat from the desktop version of gmail.

If yo\u had google talk installed you should already have hangouts.

I have codes for Bioshock Infinite, FC3: BD, and Tomb Raider from the Never Settle promo.

Anyone interested in trading for something else? I don't really care to play any of these.
