Re: Members and Newbies: Introduce Yourself to The Forums

Hi everybody, introducing myself as Dr_Terminal.

When I was looking for information about the Iwill KK266-R I purchased I found out about this forum. At home I have several systems and I wanted to speed up the Celeron 1Ghz workstation but not invest to much money. So my future mainboard needed 168-pin SDRAM sockets and an ISA slot for my Adaptec SCSI connecting the scanner. When this new-in-box mainboard was on offer I thought it suited me perfect.

At the moment I am still looking for a processor. I'm aiming for a 1200 Thunderbird or faster. For cooling I plan to use the device that came with the boxed XP2500 I have in another system. My overclocking aspirations don't go high, my main interest is a stable platform that's significant faster as the Celeron. However I've seen some good results listed from the 1000mHz Thunderbird so if everything else fails I might try that.
