    Hope you were able to get it after the price drop at least.


    Just came back from a trip to over two dozen price drop
    notices from various vendors. As expected, the release of the
    official 400fsb units caused a price drop in the 333fsb components.

    it is not worth it. a 1.83GHz CPU was present 2yrs ago. go for something faster. 2.07 2600+ is wayyy faster.

    because its a barton. Double the cache increases the speed dramaticly. Remember when the northwoods got the 512 cache? This is the same boost. You should really know what you are talking about before you reply.

    Agreed. The Bartons seem to run cooler too.


    BTW...... NewEgg changed the OEM chip price to $3 lower
    than the retail.

    a bit off topic, but, do u know which chipsets support the 400 fsb cpus? any link i could look at or such? any hope for my kt400?

    2.4Ghz is fast enough for you?
