Bah. I use the default skin most of the time, and 3 (unless it has changed) is slower and use more resources than 2.91

Who wants to listen to music when you can't search for songs?

I stopped using winamp3 soley because of the difficulty in searching my playlist. When you have 2000+ songs in your playlist you need to be able to search or jump to the song you want. It's one keystroke in Winamp2.81 and any more than that, such as the 5 or so keystrokes in winamp3 is unacceptable. By the way, if winamp2.91 skips on you, go back to 2.81. Fixed my skipping music problems.

Correct me if I am wrong but doesn't WMP9 still use the crappy Roxio drivers for cd burning support? And if so I will assume it still has the problems playing nice with Nero and other burning software.
already answered- but if upon a new install you have Nero pre-installed WMP will by default use it. But why use it for burning Nero is by far the best CD burning app there is.

My preferance is WMP for free and MJ for 20bucks- MJ is quite good. However, WMP cant be beaten for I-net features, and system integration, and thats what I use the most so........... WMP. Looks like the free-bee wins.

    ...

Winamp 2.xx is still the one for me, atleast until I finally get a new comp. Not that long now. Had the money then Car rego and Uni books screwed that over .

I gave up on WA3 because on my junkheap excuse for a PC it takes a good 30+seconds to load, and makes the computer solely a jukebox. I cant even run Emule without crashing the comp. Winamp 2 can do that atleast

Why not Media Player Classic? Simple yet quite powerful
Mozilla Firefox 2.0: Easy to use, simple yet customizable, and it's FREE. (Well, 2.0 is kinda suck actually, I went back to 1.5)

Rig III: Mac Mini (1.66GHz, 1GB, 60GB), Logitech Cordless Desktop S530 Laser for Mac, Mac OS X 10.4.10

Yes, when you have 768MB of RAM like you do, you really need to worry about resource consumption...
